The psychologist’s fees are based on the national reference price list and tariff's recommended by the Health Professions Council of South Africa and the Council for Medical Schemes.
The psychologist is contracted to most medical aids.
Standard therapy sessions are 60 minutes in duration. Assessment processes, however, vary in length depending on the nature and referral reason. Comprehensive psycho-educational assessments typically range between 6–9 hours in total, which may be conducted over multiple sessions. The total cost of an assessment will therefore depend on the number of hours required.
